Jeff Garrison

Jim Quinn

Jeff has worked as a dealer/installer, bench technician, service manager, systems designer, and regional sales manager for a manufacturer. His 22 years in the security industry, coupled with his varied tasks during that time, provide him with a unique perspective on our industry. He has designed and worked on integrated systems for large malls, convention centers, airports, and government facilities.

In the Marine Corps, he was an Avionics Technician, repairing radios, radar, and navigation systems on the AV8A Harrier; and in the Navy, he operated and maintained a shipboard CCTV system on the USS John King (DDG3).

Jeff covers the Western portion of the region, including Oklahoma, the DFW area, San Antonio, and West Texas from his office in Carrollton, TX. His off hour activities include, but are not limited to; hunting, target shooting, cooking, reading, spending time with his three children, and feeble attempts at humor.

He’s excited to be working with Jim, the ‘Q’ in GQ Marketing (although he doesn’t know ‘Q’ from Star Trek), and looks forward to showing Dealers, Integrators, and Distributors what a knowledgeable and ambitious rep firm can do.
Jim comes to GQ Marketing with over fifteen years in the industry including several years' experience on the dealer/integrator side of the fence. He had his own rep firm for six years prior to being asked to join Network Video Technologies as their Central District (U.S.) Manager, followed by tenure with PI Vision as their Western U.S. Sales Manager. Jim's experience includes working with everything from camera selection and placement in small businesses to specifying high-security microwave intrusion and communication systems, perimeter security systems and demonstration and sales of enterprise-level network video recording systems. In his tenure with NVT and PI Vision, his responsibilities included working with manufacturer's representatives, integrators, A&E firms and end users to provide solution-oriented CCTV system designs.

Jim covers the eastern portions of our territory from his office in Longview, Texas, thirty-five miles west of the Louisiana border. His off-hours activities include flying as a volunteer search and rescue and counter-narcotics pilot for the Civil Air Patrol (the US Air Force Auxiliary), serving as a volunteer search and rescue team member for the White Oak Volunteer Fire Department's CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), working on community service projects with the Longview/East Texas Amateur Radio Club and shooting photographs.

Jim is ecstatic for the opportunity to be in the rep business again and is very excited to be working in partnership with his long-time friend and business acquaintance, Jeff Garrison, the "G" in GQ Marketing.
